Refund Policy

1. Overview
At Starrality Network, we strive to ensure successful project outcomes for both Clients and Freelancers. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting a refund.
2. Escrow Protection
All project payments are held in escrow until milestones are completed and approved by the Client. This protects both parties:
- For Clients: Funds are not released to the Freelancer until you approve the delivered work
- For Freelancers: Once a Client approves a milestone, payment is guaranteed
3. Refund Eligibility
3.1 Full Refunds
You may be eligible for a full refund in the following cases:
- The Freelancer fails to start work within 7 days of project acceptance without communication
- The Freelancer abandons the project without delivering any work
- The delivered work is fundamentally different from what was agreed upon in the project scope
- The Freelancer's account is found to be fraudulent
3.2 Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued when:
- Work is partially completed but the project is mutually terminated
- Some milestones are completed while others are not
- A dispute is resolved through mediation with an agreed-upon partial refund
3.3 No Refunds
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:
- You have already approved a milestone and funds have been released
- You change your mind after the Freelancer has delivered work according to specifications
- The project is delayed due to your own lack of communication or delayed feedback
- You request changes beyond the original project scope without additional payment
- Platform fees (these are non-refundable)
4. Refund Process
4.1 Requesting a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact the Freelancer directly through the Platform to attempt to resolve the issue
- If unresolved, open a dispute through your project dashboard
- Provide detailed evidence (screenshots, communications, deliverables) supporting your refund request
- Our support team will review the case within 3-5 business days
4.2 Review Process
Our team will review all evidence from both parties, including:
- Original project requirements and scope
- Communications between Client and Freelancer
- Delivered work and revisions
- Timeline of events
4.3 Refund Approval
If your refund is approved:
- Funds will be returned to your original payment method
- Processing time: 5-10 business days
- You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed
5. Dispute Resolution
If you and the Freelancer cannot reach an agreement, Starrality Network may provide mediation services. Our decision in mediated disputes is final and binding.
6. Subscription Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription:
- You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
- No pro-rated refunds will be issued for unused time
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time
7. Platform Fee Non-Refundable
The 15% platform fee charged on transactions is non-refundable, even if a refund is issued for the project amount. This fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and dispute resolution services.
8. Best Practices to Avoid Disputes
To minimize the risk of disputes:
- Clearly define project scope and requirements before starting
- Break projects into milestones with specific deliverables
- Maintain regular communication with your Freelancer/Client
- Review work thoroughly before approving milestones
- Use the Platform's messaging system for all project communications
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
